On the way we went back to Jakarta, we dropped into a friend's house - bu Yanti's house -. Bu Yanti is our friend in Jakarta, well actually she is my wife's colleague at Labschool Jakarta. However we close enough with Bu Yanti.

We were in her house for about 45 minutes. It was nice to live in Salatiga, the weather is cold and fresh.

bats' house

In 1990s this house was empty and only bats lived here. Not only one bat but thousands bats.

Right now it is a batik house. If you want to have good quality and affordable batik, just have a look here.

Last night I went to Taman Sari restaurant to check the place for our family gathering.

After I checked I came to conclusion that although the restaurant was nice and big, but it's not suitable for family gathering.

I also bought some food. The taste of the food was ok.

This morning my family, my relatives, and I went to Klego, Ngegot village.

It took 90 minutes to reach Ngegot village from Solo.

Today many shops closed due to iedul fitr holiday, but there is a gudeg restaurant Slamet Riyadi street opened and many people came to this restaurant.

Slamet Riyadi road is a main road in Solo. If you enter Solo city from Kartasura (western part of Solo) you will find Slamet Road). There are many bussiness places on the side of the road.

Kota barat is an area in the west part of Solo. There is a wide field in this area and in the night there are many food sellers around it.

manahan road

Manahan is an area with big road. There are two statues of a man is using an arrow on its bow. The statue is pulling the bow and ready to shoot the arrow.

In Manahan there is a stadium. This stadium is usually used for bicycle racing.

sumber area

After doing some lebaran ritual (sungkem - kissing parents' knee by bowing our body and having breakfast together) we visited some of my mother in law's old neighbour in Sumber area.

This morning we went to Pondok Pesantren As Salam (moslem boarding school) not so far from our house. There were many people joined it.

We went there at 6 am and finish at 7.15 am.
